ABOUT ME
I’m Khôi Trần Tấn Minh, a Vietnamese student at the Canadian International School in Ho Chi Minh City, currently pursuing the IB Diploma with a predicted score of 45/45.
Ever since I was eight, I’ve been obsessed with sea slugs. Every week, I’d bring home new facts about them, much to my family’s exhaustion. Some sea slugs steal plant genes, some feed on other organisms, and others are like living solar panels. My favourite slug in all of its brilliance—the green sea slug—does all of these things! It exhibits qualities of both a plant and an animal.
I’ve always seen a bit of myself in that slug, constantly drawing light from different worlds. Like it, I am most alive when I am in a place where I can pursue my disparate interests with intensity and let my creativity run free—whether in ecology, cultural justice, indigenous rights, biochemistry, or literature!
